Learn about the major scales.

Help support this blog by buying a Pro Sensory mask.

Let us start this tutorial.

Memorize virtually all your scales with only knowing the white keys.

You only need to know the C Major Scale.
Some previous experience is required but knowing more is encouraged.

We will begin learning all of our Major Scales.

Use what you already know.
It is encouraged that you know your 7 major modes before you start this lesson.

What is the AM Syntax?
The AM Syntax is a syntax that takes every single Scale and Mode as a reference to the tonal center of C. Thus, only 7 C Modes are only really necessary to learn for all 12 Major Scales.

How AM Syntax Works?
The AM Syntax consists of an opening and closing pointy brackets like so "<>" in which these brackets can be used to identify that the following statement is in AM Syntax. For now know that a set of brackets means the following statement borrows notes from a related mode in C and that any alteration to the first note is indicated inside the opening and closing arrow brackets.
